When considering a fundraising campaign within your ministry you may have a staff member dedicated to this task, but you should still research programs outside of your organization with positive results proven over many ministries.

Our team may not know your fundraising approach, but we advise against the giving triangle.

In this program the organization makes levels of giving and then tries to identify people from their donor list to fill the different levels. This often has negative results and offends people when they know they are being targeted for certain levels of giving.

Also keep in mind, there are a lot of "knock-off" groups doing capital campaigns or modifying a program they've used from another capital campaign agency .Many times, the consultants leading these campaigns have never led a church of more than a few hundred or have never led a church through a successful campaign or construction project. When you secure a campaign agency, 80% of the result is often determined by the skills, experience and ability of the consultant. (Ask yourself this question, if you had the opportunity to hire this consultant to be a member of your staff - would you?)
